Bose's best noise cancelling headphones, and the pair to buy if you watch films or listen to music on a plane. Immersive Audio pushes the sound out in front of you instead of leaving it inside your head, which is the closest thing to sitting in a room with speakers that headphones manage. CustomTune measures your ear canal each time you put them on and adjusts the tuning and the cancelling to fit it.
What you get
- Bose Immersive Audio moves the soundstage out in front of you, with a still mode and a motion mode that tracks your head — the difference is obvious on films
- CustomTune calibration measures your ear canal at every wear, so the tuning and the cancelling are matched to your ears rather than an average pair
- Adjustable noise cancelling with Quiet, Aware and Immersive modes, so you choose how much of the room you keep
- Aware Mode with ActiveSense, which lets the room in but automatically ducks sudden loud noises
- USB-C wired audio as well as Bluetooth, so a laptop or an in-flight system connects directly
- Bluetooth multipoint, keeping a laptop and a phone connected at the same time
- Folding design with a carry case, so they travel in a bag rather than around your neck
