The gas version of GE's full-size vented dryer, for homes that already have a gas line in the laundry. Gas dryers heat faster and usually cost less to run than electric, and this one still plugs into an ordinary 120-volt outlet for the controls and drum motor. The 7.2 cubic foot drum matches a full-size top loader.
What you get
- Gas heat gets to temperature faster than an element, so cycles finish sooner on the same load
- 7.2 cu ft aluminized alloy drum, so a full washer load transfers straight across
- Cottons, Casuals and Delicates cycles with More Dry and Less Dry, so each fabric gets a sensible finish
- Vents up to 120 ft, so the dryer does not have to sit against an outside wall
- Reversible door, so it opens away from the washer in a narrow laundry
- Removable up-front lint filter, which keeps airflow up and drying times down
