The standard PlayStation 5, in the slimmer case Sony moved to in 2023, with the Ultra HD Blu-ray drive built in. If you still buy discs, trade games with friends or watch 4K Blu-rays, this is the version to get. It has 1TB of storage and comes with a DualSense controller.
What you get
- Built-in Ultra HD Blu-ray drive, so you can buy second-hand games, resell them, and play 4K discs without a separate player
- 1TB built-in SSD, which is roughly ten large games installed before you have to start clearing space
- Custom SSD with a hardware decompressor that loads levels in seconds rather than the minute-plus a hard-drive console took
- Up to 120fps at 120Hz with 4K output, so fast games feel smooth on a modern TV
- DualSense controller with haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, which lets supported games change how the trigger resists your finger — pulling a bowstring feels different to pressing an accelerator
- Tempest 3D AudioTech places sound around you through ordinary headphones, so footsteps have a direction
- More than 30% smaller than the launch PS5, so it fits under a TV without dominating the shelf

When do I get my item?
When do I get my item?
After your final payment. We order your item brand-new from an authorized US retailer and ship it to you free. Waiting is what keeps the price at sticker — you never pay more for paying over time.
Can I get it sooner?
