A steel version of the digital Timex a lot of people wore in the eighties, reissued at 36mm on a matching bracelet. It does the things a digital watch should do — time, date, alarm, backlight — and nothing else. The small case and steel bracelet make it read as jewellery rather than a sports watch.
What you get
- 36mm stainless steel case and bracelet, small and light in a way modern digital watches are not
- Digital display with day and date, so the information you actually check is on screen without pressing anything
- Alarm and chronograph, the two functions people use on a digital watch
- INDIGLO backlight, which lights the whole dial at once rather than a single bulb at the edge
- Acrylic crystal, shatter-resistant and easy to polish if it scuffs
- Self-adjust clasp, so the bracelet sizes without a trip to a jeweller
- Water resistant to 30 metres, which covers hand washing and rain
